Graduate Students Taking Undergraduate Courses

Typically, graduate students are not permitted to enroll in undergraduate coursework. On occasion, graduate students may be permitted to enroll in up to 3 credits of undergraduate coursework by approval of the University Registrar as a one-time exception. Graduate students must be enrolled full-time and complete at least one term in good standing before being eligible to seek approval. Graduate students enrolling in undergraduate courses will pay undergraduate tuition rates and applicable fees.

Please note that these courses will not count toward graduate degree requirements and may not be eligible for financial aid. Please contact the Office of the Registrar for more information.

Alternatively, graduate students may withdraw from their program and register as Special Students to complete undergraduate courses. Students are advised to check with their program advisor about the possible ramifications of withdrawing from their program.
